Physical and Chemical Properties | Bioactive α-Humulene is a major component of Tanacetum vulgare L. essential oil and has anti-inflammatory effect (IC50=15±2 μg/mL). α-Humulene inhibits COX-2 and iNOS expression. |
Use | Use ALPHA-Lvcene is one of the components in the essential oil extracted from flowering plant hops cones. The content of ALPHA-Lvcene in different plants is different. ALPHA-Lvcene and its reaction products make beer produce unique aroma during beer brewing. Existing studies suggest that the pharmacological studies of ALPHA-Lvcene have found that it has anti-inflammatory effects and can effectively prevent viruses that cause respiratory diseases such as colds and pneumonia from invading the human body. There have been no reports of relieving itching. |
